Afternoon Delight 20 x 24 Oil on Linen

This painting has been painted for quite sometime.  I have gone back into it and changed things a few times.  It is available through me and will be at a show I am participating in June.  More on that later.  This year I had planned on posting quicker and more often.  I am not off to a good start. I just counted and I have 8 paintings that I need to photograph and post.  Also, get to a gallery.  This weather isn't helping.  Hopefully this week sometime I will have a chance to get outside and take some photos.  Initially I did a plein air study at Folly Beach State Park in South Carolina.  This is a larger version with a few changes.

Low Country Marsh 36 x 48 Oil on Canvas

This is the largest landscape I have done so far.  This is actually from the May River in Bluffton, South Carolina looking out on to the marshes.  The day we were there it was beautiful and we were actually in town for my Uncle's funeral back in JuneHe is buried out in the garden of the church that looks over the May River.  It is a well known Episcopal Church and its absolutely amazing.  If you are ever on your way to Hilton Head check out Bluffton.  It's a hidden gem.

This painting will is available at Anne Irwin Fine Art and it will be part of the Southern Artists, Southern Scenes that starts this Friday, September 19th.  Check it out if you are in Atlanta.
