Ginger Jar with Flowers 12 x 16 Oil on Panel

This ginger jar belonged to my grandmother and my aunt had given it to her years ago.  My Aunt Judy then gave it to me so I could paint it.  I really love painting it and haven't in awhile.  I wanted this painting to glow with reflections on the bottom and around the flowers and jar.  The painting will be available at my upcoming show at The Ventulett Gallery opening June 4-July 9th located at Holy Innocents' Church, 805 Mount Vernon HWY NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30327.  I will be there on the 4th from 6-8pm.  Please come by.

I painted this around Valentine's.  I always seem to do that and the flowers are more expensive.  Guess I was in the mood.  This painting is available at the Shain Gallery in Charlotte, North Carolina.
