Boundless 36 x 36 Oil on Canvas

The name of this painting is from a poem by Alfred Lord Tennyson called Crossing the Bar. My good friend Judy named the painting after I sent her an image.  Judy and I worked together while I was in college and she was working on her masters.  Judy is one of the smartest people I have ever known.  She is one of those people that can if you say a date she probably knows exactly what was going on that day or at least in her life she does.  That is exactly why we are still friends.  One day back in the 80's we were working and I asked her what the date was and she told me the date.  Then she said what she was doing on that date back in the 60's.  She mentioned her friend Glee.  I said I know a Glee and of course she wouldn't think it was the same person.  So when I saw Glee at the scuba class I was taking I asked her if she knew Judy and she said yes!  To this day we say that is the reason we are still friends.  If that had not happened I think we would have gone our separate ways.  Thank you Judy!  It is sometimes hard to come up with names for paintings.

This painting is available at Anne Irwin Fine Art in Atlanta.  On Thursday, March 26th there will be a show called Instameet.  The opening will be from 6-8pm and will run probably for a month.  Please stop by if you have a chance.  There will be many different paintings from gallery artists.

I plan on doing more of these paintings where I was standing in the water.
