Today one of my students(Stephanie) brought in her birds nest and 2 of them were so different then the ones I own. One of them was a hummingbird's nest. It was more of an oval shape. It was small, but for some reason I thought it would be smaller. Then there was another one that looked like pine straw and then on the bottom layer had twigs. I liked that one. Also, she brought in 2 very small eggs and then a larger one. She knows so many things about birds and birds nests. I won't feel bad anymore about taking a nest or an egg. They are like chickens and lay eggs everyday. The thing is she won't sit on the nest until she has had all that she is going to and then she sits on the nest so that they hatch on the same day. Also, if birds decides they don't like the location of the nest they have built they will move on and make another one. Also, if they decide they don't want the egg they will throw it out of the nest. I thought they were families, but now it seems like its more of a production.
